Situation overview
The emergence of COVID-19 led to a need to rapidly identify treatment options, including drug repurposing, investigational therapies, and vaccine development. Combination therapy based on drug repurposing was one of the most widely pursued efforts.

Quickly identifying combination therapies that are most likely to be effective for further investigation

How we helped

We collaborated with academic investigators who had developed an AI-based platform. Using this platform, we interrogated 12 possible drug/dose regimens that could inhibit A549 lung cell infection by vesicular stomatitis virus (VSV).

Outcomes

Through this platform, we were able to rapidly identify actionable combination therapies within 3 days of project start.
